Outpatient treatments

The costs of outpatient examinations and treatments are covered by the compulsory health insurance for all persons insured in Switzerland. The deductible rate stipulated in the insurance contract and the mandatory excess (10%) are not covered. In the case of restricted insurance models (e.g. "family doctor model"), a referral from the family doctor is necessary. On request, we will contact your family doctor's practice to clarify a possible referral. The following examinations and treatments are considered outpatient:

• cardiological and cardiosurgical evaluations
• Ultrasound examinations of the heart
• Cardiac catheterization
